Music Mondays

Hello! It's Monday again. Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend!

Most people probably don't know this, but Epik High used to be one of my favorite Korean bands back in high school. This is a cover Tablo did, but I love how dark it is. It's not something you see often.

This video makes me smile, especially the end where everyone is just singing along and the band just looks so ecstatic and happy.

The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks

#18 Sunset Romance and #15 Fuchsia Flirt

Such gorgeous colors!

(Bottom: #15   Top: #18)

Sorry that I haven't been posting much lately, it's just been really hectic and busy around here! I'm sure everyone feels this way sometimes, but I just have absolutely no motivation to blog. Anyways, I'm back today to share a new lippy addiction. These are The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine lipsticks. They are similar to original Colour Crush lipsticks, but these are more like balms. The colors are so bright, it scared me when I saw them in the tubes, but don't let that fool you! These are some of the most comfortable lipsticks I've ever worn, quite similar to the Revlon Lip Butters, but I actually think these have a smoother application and more moisturizing. Also, these are super easy to apply, no need for a mirror. It takes a couple swipes to get an opaque look, but the result is shiny and leaves a beautiful tint. It makes your lips look like jelly. I also really like the smell, it a light, fruity, floral smell. Very pleasant, not strong at all.

My favorite color is #15 Fuchsia Flirt, which is exactly what it sounds like, a sheer fuchsia color. #18 Sunset Romance is a watermelon pink coral shade, perfect for summer.

The Body Shop is having a 40% off sale right now, so check these out! Let me know if you've tried these yet! :D

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

HAPPY FATHERS DAY EVERYONE! I never really get to celebrate these days, since my parents are always working, but you can do little things to make them happy today. My dad loves these cookies and always asks me to bake them for him. This recipe is super easy and so yummy! Not too sweet and smells wonderful.

The batter will look something like this once you mix it all together.

Here I am with my messy hair, spooning the batter. haha
This recipe makes lots of cookies, but you can make the cookies any size you want, this was just how big I made them.

They look a bit puffy once they're done, but once they cool, they settle down.

Final product!

Ingredients

Makes 3-4 dozen cookies

1 cup of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar (packed)
3 cups of all purpose flour
2 sticks  or 1 cup of butter (softened)
2 large eggs (room temperature)
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup of macadamia nuts
11-12 ounces of white chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line parchment paper on baking sheet.

Mix sugar and butter until creamy with electric beater in big bowl. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat again, about 2 minutes.

Stir in flour, salt, and baking soda.

Add chocolate chips and macadamia nuts until well combined.

Roll batter into tablespoon size balls (or bigger if you want) and place on parchment paper about 1 inch apart.

Bake 9-10 minutes.

Enjoy! I hope you guys like this recipe! Let me know if you try it and have a wonderful day! :)

Zara Summer Picks

Summer is officially here and the weather has been proving it. I hope everyone is staying cool wherever they are! Of course I was browsing online and eyed up a few things. Heh :)
T'is the season of flowy dresses and bright colors, so I added some pinks and yellows in here.

This maxi skirt has POCKETS. POCKETS! And it's a gorgeous pink color as well. But POCKETS. Skirts can pull any look together, you can just add a simple top.
I love shirts that have interesting backs, and this one is an open back with three little bows. It's cute and simple, very easy to pair with jeans, shorts, or skirts.

Been seeing these metallic sandals on a few Youtubers, and I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. They add an edgy look to your outfit.
Same with motorcycle jackets. I love wearing dresses and flowery tops with a black leather jacket on top.

This white dress is super casual, but it can be dressed up as well. I've been really liking this trend of a separate top and bottom, but it's still in one piece.
Bright red sandals are perfect for this time of year and these look super comfy too!

I used to have this mustard yellow bag years ago and I loved it and was so sad the day it broke. I saw this one and it just brought back memories of that bag. Anyways. Love the color and shape!
Nautical stripes can be worn all year round, but especially during the summer. This dress also has POCKETS! It's a relaxed fit and is a good length. You can pair it with sandals and you're good to go.

Let me know which is your favorite item and what you've been loving for summer! :)

OneRepublic and The Script

Happy Sunday everyone! I just had the most amazing time last night! I went to the OneRepublic concert! AHHHH :)  They were seriously sooo good live. Ryan Tedder's voice just makes you melt. The Script and American Authors opened for them and they were amazing too! Everyone sounds exactly like they're supposed to and it was just so much fun! Danny, the lead singer for the Script, actually called a random girl's ex-boyfriend and sang a whole song to him on the phone! That was seriously one of the highlights of the night. When OneRepublic started singing "Something I Need", which is my favorite song off their Native album, I just swooned. Ryan Tedder said he wrote this song after not being able to sleep, and one night, he looked over at his wife and he wanted to live and die with her. Oh boy. Sighhhh.

Messy curls and simple makeup for the concert.

Favorite Lip Colors for Summer

So I decided to make a small post about the lippies I like to wear during the warmer months and share them with you guys! Most of these are drugstore products, so nothing will break the bank, which everyone loves right? I always tend to go towards sheer reds and pinks as you can see below, but that's just because I like how low maintenance it is. It won't smear all over your lips when you eat either. I used to hate glosses, they were too sticky or just always got stuck to my hair, but I've found the formulas for the Maybelline, NYX, and Bite are really smooth, not sticky at all.

left to right:  Revlon Colorburst Laquer Balm in Provocateur, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Smitten, NYX Butter Gloss in Red Velvet, Bite Beauty Lip Gloss in Strangefruit, Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple, Maybelline Color Elixirs in Captivating Carnation, Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Elite

Provocateur is a really bright strawberry red and leaves a really nice stain as well. This has no shimmer and leaves a glossy finish. It's definitely a very eye-catching color.

Smitten is a sheer fuschia pink. It's very buildable, even though it starts off sheer. This one is definitely a stain, it was actually quite difficult to take it all off at the end of the night. You can read about my love affair with the Revlon Balms here! :)

Red Velvet is a deeper toned red, but since it's a gloss, it's not too dramatic. I love the smell of these glosses, just like vanilla. These are super easy to apply and very pigmented, but it wear off quite easily, especially after eating. They are very glossy and don't you just love the shade names? Yummm

Strangefruit looks bright purple in the tube, but its actually more pink than purple. These are really glossy and leave a beautiful wash of color. These glosses are made from healthy fruit ingredients, so they're good enough to eat! I love the concept of Bite Beauty, and all their lip colors are so gorgeous.

Candy Apple is an orange red color, but more orange. This is definitely not a color I wear often, since I think orange washes my skin color out. This one is really sheer though, so it's much easier to wear for me. I love these lip butters, they're so moisturizing and you don't even need a mirror to apply them.

Captivating Carnation is a medium pink with a glossy finish. This one is semi-opaque, super moisturizing, and not sticky at all. There's a flowery taste to this, which was quite weird in the beginning. The gloss stays glossy for at least 4 hours and I love the packaging on this.

I'm not going to bore you guys AGAIN. Just read this here.

Music Mondays

Happy June Everyone! :)

A remix of a classic. I love their take on this song.

The song title says it all. A perfect summer song.

"Ain't it fun living in the real world?" The video is so clever. Smashing clocks with guitars seems really fun.

What are some songs you guys have been listening to lately?
